The mustang mare that needed a home just a few days ago has been adopted! She headed to her new home yesterday and will be well loved and taken care of. I am working on helping get placed an older 30+ year old mare and a nice 8 year old paint mare. I will take them if i can, we are still waiting on the sorrel rescues, paperwork and people are holding up the line. If space clears up around here i will take the young ones and get them adopted out of here. let's sure hope so, i have a pending sale and a couple of people looking right now, just hope that everything comes through on their end and they get to take one of my horses home with them!
I am looking forward and really like what the future holds for this program, just hit a few bumps in the road but we will keep moving . Have alot of good places that we are looking at to move the operation to and really expand upon the cattle and horses. My family has a long history in the hereford business and i as the 6th generation would love to get a really large herd of herefords built up and get that going better.

Our struggles in the past month with injuries, and loosing some our friends have taught me alot . Taught me that the rescue industry is really a cut throat type of business and not an easy one at that to be in. You can be on either side of the line and staying in the middle is pretty difficult, i had no idea! I am glad though that i have met several fantastic people and have made many long lasting connections throughout the country through all of this and i plan on making many more friends in the business in the years to come.
The next few weeks look good, i am going to try and help one or two rescues and am in the search for a 4H horse for a little girl. I have looked at a couple for her and have some nice ones in mind. She will be using Ginger this year if i do not sell the mare or cannot fins her a horse of her own to use this year in the 4H club. I think she iwill fall in love with Ginger and end up buying her!
Keep shceking in, i will post as many updates as i have time for betwen getting winter hay ready and the place ready for winter.
