The weather has definitely taken a turn for the colder around here. The tanks are always frozen, ready to put in the tank heaters now. The ponds are all starting to freeze up and the ground is , yep colder. Grass is all but gone and the heard is all but mammoth coated. I love this time of year, when the world slows down and everybody gets ready for the winter months.
Ginger was sold over the weekend and could not have gone to a more perfect home. A 12 year old will be using her in 4H and to ride for fun, they matched up perfectly and bonded well. She will be living in Monte Vista with her new owners Wendy, Kevin, and Cody. I wish them only the best with miss Ginger and hope they have many many years of wonderful memories together.
The rescues are doing really well and coming along nicely in their training. I've put a few pics of their progress. They are showing off their new skills of mastering getting on top of the scary bridge obstacle. I would like to get them into their new homes as soon as i can but will continue to work with them until they are sold. They are sweet and really gentling down. I am absolutely thrilled with the progress that they are all making. I will post an update on the boys later this week.
I have been soo busy this week. The big move is inching closer and closer everyday and i can't wait to get out of here and begin a new chapter in my life. I have several projects going on and need to get some mouths moved before the snow really flies so the winter hay can be spread around a bit better. Speaking of winter hay i am so lucky to have a good reliable source this year. and so so lucky to be able to get hay locally not having to travel a long distance to get it. Not to mention the horses are grateful of this too. Anyway check out the pics of the rescue update below and leave a comment or a message if you would like. Thanks!
Oh and i forgot to mention Happy Halloween!!!
