This is the newest rescue that SVHR is trying to sponsor. I can take him in and get him healthy and happy just need to figure out how to get him home. He is a coming yearling grade qh colt. He needs some groceries and some well needed attention. Friendly, and approachable he is going to make for a nice horse. He has been taken from this situation to a temporary foster in Yoder, CO. I am possibly going to be headed that way in a week or so, but nothing has been set in stone, the hauling rig still needs some work and with funds being as tight as they are i can only work on the truck piece by piece. Any and all support with this little guy is greatly appreciated.
The rest of the rescues are doing great. I would really like to see some of these guys find their forever homes soon, they are all maturing and growing beautifully. I am really excited to see what everybody does when they shed out this spring and summer. We are still looking for transport for Tinkerbelle south to get her at least to Alamosa if not all the way to Sante Fe, the more time she spends here the harder is for me to let her go! Her adopters have been kind enough to be patient in getting her and have been given her free of charge to provide a long term wonderful home for the old mare. If anybody is able to help get her home please contact me asap.
Bandit is doing great as well, he is growing and coming into his two year old year well. As soon as i am able i will begin searching for the funds to get him castrated and begin the process again of getting his foot back in line. He has gone through numerous farrier visits and his foot is almost normal. He is still having troubles with his eye so we will be getting that re-looked at here shortly too. I don't think he is completely blind in his right eye, i think there is some vision in there it just needs a little more time to heal. Bandit will be a big horse and a pretty on at that. He will remain for adoption free to a good home until i start the process of patching him up again in another month or two.
Vegas is going to be a little more of a project. She has gained weight nicely since being gone but suffers alot more mental that physical troubles. She isn't dangerous but needs some patience. She has yet to make her way back home, through trailer troubles (that weren't her fault) and transporter problems she is still sitting down in jefferson county waiting to come home
