We brought in the new year with many new changes. Gunner went to a great place in Fort Lupton where he will be bred and trained for mounted shooting. A big change as he was a staple to the program for a long time. The brood mare group was downsized and i cut back to a smaller group moving forward. We still have two Gunner babies coming this spring (hopefully, preg checks haven't been done yet on one mare) and I'm really looking forward to what the summer will bring. Several of our youngsters have made their way to the next chapters in their lives as well. The program has put out some wonderful horses in the 2013 year and i am really going to amp up the training aspect of Slash Bar A this summer.
A big relocation is also on the horizon for me. I will be moving the horses and the program to a new area this year and will be re-building and continuing to grow the herd and the program ideals. Right now we are focused on making it through the winter, especially with the wild weather that the park has been getting lately. The horses are all tucked in safe and sound, and i'm sure they are all looking to warmer weather too.
Stay tuned to the latest from Slash Bar A. I appreciate and enjoy the continued support that i get every day from all of the fans and supporters out there. Thanks and stay warm!
