This is the newest rescue that SVHR is trying to sponsor. I can take him in and get him healthy and happy just need to figure out how to get him home. He is a coming yearling grade qh colt. He needs some groceries and some well needed attention. Friendly, and approachable he is going to make for a nice horse. He has been taken from this situation to a temporary foster in Yoder, CO. I am possibly going to be headed that way in a week or so, but nothing has been set in stone, the hauling rig still needs some work and with funds being as tight as they are i can only work on the truck piece by piece. Any and all support with this little guy is greatly appreciated.
It's Valentines Day tomorrow and the boys would both like to wish everyone a very Happy Valentines Day! They are both growing so fast and Gunner is getting ready for his second breeding season, with his first babies on the way! I will have 4 of Gunners babies here this season and i am so excited to see what we get. Little Rooster is turning one year old soon and i will be working with him all summer to get him ready to possibly cover some mares next spring in the 2014 season. On another news, Our rescue mare that i adopted out in December is going to be coming back to us. Due to no fault of her or her adopter she just is getting along down there and they have no time for her. She was schedule to come home yesterday but weather prevented anyone from going anywhere. She should be arriving back her on Sunday of next week. She will be free to a good home for a limited time while she i gentled back down and we start working with her again. This mare is a real sweetheart and i am anxiously awaiting her homecoming.
All of the horses are wintering well. We have a few that needed that extra push with grain and extra hay but i do not mind, and neither do they. With all of the recent snow the pastures look like they just might come back to normal this season and we should be back in full swing. The rescue is offering rescue Bandit at free to a good home, he needs to find his forever home that understands that he needs constant care and attention. This is a very special colt that needs a very special home. On the ranch side we still have a few horses for sale and i will sale or trade nearly every horse we have, all you have to do is ask!. |
