I can't believe that fall is already knocking on the door, it seems like only yesterday that spring was here and summertime was gearing up. of course we have several more weeks of summertime to enjoy. I have been moving horses through here really fast and am so happy to be able to place them with their forever homes. I still have many more rescues yet to pick up and really need to get some stock moved out of her so that i can get the urgent ones in. There are a few really skinny ones that i am trying to take. It will all work out in the end though. I need to get things settled here anyway and start the great winter hay stockpile before long. I have also had alot of wonderful donations lately to the rescue and i am ever so greatful of that. Hopefully i can get all of these rescues placed before winter arrives and in their new homes safe and sound.
I also am thrilled to be getting two new saddle/broodmare prospects to the ranch. These two little fillies will make an excellent addition to the training program, the ranch, and eventually to the broodmare herd. These two are exactly what i am looking for in mares, the looks, breeding, conformation and mindset to make great horses. The paint broodmares are settled in nicely and should have a late summer 2013 foal from Gunner. I am so happy with those two, they could drop some nice AQHA horses, even some double registered with their color and with Gunner. They are big, pretty and sweet, nothing better than that for a momma. We are excited to finally be getting the whole move thing underway. The property that i am looking at is still up here but there s alot more acerage and better property for the horses to graze on. More room to build arenas, barns and all that fun stuff!
I am really looking forward to what the fall will bring my breeding program and to my rescue. I have one more broodmare yet to get and she will round out a very well balanced program...for now...
