Spring has sprung and so has the green green grasses. The horses certainly are loving all of the fresh grass coming up after the winter. They are looking good and getting ready for summer shows. This also means that it is time to really get after these colts and work them more. The two year olds sure let me know that they do not want any of it. Some of them are more than happy to work, but there is always that one colt that has to test your each and every button.
We still have one little one on the way, she should give birth any day now, after this long in the cooker it's going to be a big colt. I will be breeding three or four mares to Gunner this spring, all with great bloodlines and dispositions. One appaloosa mare, and three AQHA mares. The 2013 colts will have dynamite breeding and looks too.
Gunner is going under saddle really well and i should be taking him out to shows this spring. I am still taking in breedings for him for this year, he is limited to a small number of outside mares this year.
We are making big steps toward our move up to Wyoming, just a few things left to do. I will make sure to keep updates posted on here, and on the ranch facebook.
