As well as the livestock stuff, i am in the very long process of chopping and stacking the winter wood. Well i haven't really started yet but i have cursed at the wood pile and stared at the chainsaw and the axe. One day at a time! Luckily the house is staying warm enough for now that i do not yet need a fire at night to warm up. I really don't want to have to chop 14 cords of wood and then have to move them if we end up moving before it snows, i think that is my biggest hurdle. Or maybe it's just the wood.
I am also working on the winterization of the vehicles, tractor, and everything else lucky enough to spend it's time outside. Diesel 911 has become my new best friend in the spring months and preping for the winter snow. I know it wounds a little bit "apocalyptic", but you can't take chances up here. The more prepared you are the less things happen.
Well that is all of the winter ranting i can do for now about the ranch and everything to do, i better get outside and get to it!
