The rescue colt Outlaw has gone to his new home and is settling in nicely. The other rescue colt has had his trim and his feet are looking better and better with every go around. All he needed was some consistent care and trimming to get his feet where they should be. The mares are still here and looking to find their forever homes. Doing well with being worked with they are ready to go, and i am ready to get them moved before the real winter hits us.
There has been a lack of moisture this winter, and i really like snow. I prepared for it and am ready to get this snow season on a role. The plow truck is all gassed up and ready to go. Just wish that there was something to plow! It will get here eventually and boy will it be welcome. It has been cold and all of the horses are wintered up ad ready for the weather.
I am about to go pick up my last broodmare and my little stud prospect this afternoon. I have been waiting a long time for them to get here and am so happy that today is the day. I bought a new truck and finally am done with all the issues that were associated with my old dodge. It's nice to know that if i need to haul i can and that i will make it there and home without any issues or breakdowns.
This colt and mare will be a nice addition to round out the program. The mare is in foal and i will be expecting a nice foal out of her this spring. I am looking to find homes for the 4 project horses that i have left here, reduce the numbers before i really start feeding the winter hay. Aside from those four i may have a couple more that i would let go of to the right homes.
Another load of winter hay will be coming in today and i hope that this time i can make the trip without falling off of the truck. Still sore from that adventure last weekend. Big afternoon plans today. Let's hope that the Broncos can wrap this thing up and the wind stops blowing so i can get my day finished before too long.
